The original Dutch game of Ely the Eel (‘Ali de Paling’) was initiated by Regional Water Authority Waterschap Hunze en Aa’s. Due to the success of the Dutch game, an English version came into being in 2011. The translation was developed by the partners of the Living North Sea project.
